This is a painting started from a life model at the Northrup King Building in Minneapolis in Emmy Whites studio. This is a Japanese lady that modeled for us in her kimono. It takes her twenty minuets to put it on, a ceremony in its self. I have been having a difficult time with this piece. I had to create the background and left the raw canvas in the upper part of the painting. I liked the raw stained canvas, it seems to add to the feel of the piece.
