This painting was painted plein air up north at the cabin in Grand Rapids, MN. This is out my back door. Two beautiful days with many new friends that visited me as I painted. A chipmunk, a zooming hummingbird, red wing black bird and a huge bumble bee. They were all trying to figure out who I was foe or friend. The only one that became a close friend was the chipmunk, he just parked himself at my feet and looked up at me. Such is the life of the plein air painter:) This is a larger painting 18 x 36 and is on museum wrapped canvas. Please contact me for availability at kgrevich@gmail.com.

better a chipmunk than a bear, Kris! Great Texture on that tree it has so much dimension.
