I picked this copper item up in Texas a few weeks ago. I love painting the metals in paintings... so much fun! I will be listing this painting on Ebay on tomorrow for auction.

Oh my goodness…this is so gorgeous. You not only nailed the copper but your orange reflections in it are simply glowing!

This was so much fun to paint! My favorite colors and one of my favorite coffee cups!
I off set the cup to show the blue color! There is a reason to the way I painted this piece.

I noticed that too, but liked the distortion. It reminds me of a tutu and adds a emphasis, drama, and contrast to the other busy elements. It creates a very feminine look. Love it.

I had this wonderful Cymbidium that was telling me to paint it... so this is the first painting. I want to try several different looks to each painting of this plant.

This was painted up north on a late November day. A perfect day, no wind, warm, with unbelievable lights and darks. I have learned that there are no two days alike. This day was breathtaking!

This painting was painted one evening in Texas at the workshop that I was attending. We could paint all night in the studio if we wanted to.

This was painted on my last day at C W Mundy's workshop in Texas. I did come back to my studio and adjust the values. Squint and Values..... what a difference it makes to ones work!

This was painted in my room after the workshop I had with Carol Marine. It was a great workshop and we had a blast...even with the rain and cold! So much fun to apply what Carol taught me... absolutely loved painting an egg.
Thanks Gwen! Hope all is well with you!
