Golden Feathers

Golden Feathers - Oil on 20" x 24" Linen Panel - It has been a very long time since I last posted a painting. I have been doing many paintings, not for sale, but just to help me progress in my painting style. I have also been in San Diego, Ca painting and will post those paintings soon.

This was a work that I wanted to keep limited as far as colors that I used. I wanted to create texture in the cloth, feathers, shell and glass objects. Fun and frustrating to paint. I will keep pushing myself to see what develops out of my aggravations.
For more information on this work email me at kgrevich@gmail.com.

Three of a Kind - Oil on 20" x 24" Canvas - I have had this photo of the Wayzata beach and playground area for a few years. Three girls sharing their secrets. I loved how each one of the girls had that innocent look about them, each so unique, young and just having that moment in time together. I started painting this a few weeks ago, with winter still having it's hold on Minnesota. I just had to have something that gave me the feel of warmth and sunshine.

Morning News - Watercolor on 13" x 10" Water Color Paper - God Bless Japan!
How great life is! Happy Birthday to me:) I'm in Florida painting people as they sun around the pool! Yes, this is a watercolor! I didn't think the people would appreciate the smell of turpentine and oil paint with the smell of their sun tanning lotions:) The ocean and warm breezes are almost healing. These three men are around the pool almost every day. They sit together and discuss life as it is in the sun state. They are bronze in color and have wonderful brown belly's. This painting is on Arches 300 Lbs. watercolor paper.

32 Years Ago - Oil on 6" x 8" Raymar Linen Panel - Today, Oct 10th, 32 years ago my husband Mark passed away at the age of 29. This was painted from one of the last photos taken of Mark and his son a month before he died. I went to bed last night and knew I had to paint this old photo Mark and Justin.

I would call up his Mom every year on this day to ask her if she knew what day this was. She would say "Of course" and then we would talk for awhile. She also passed just recently, I miss them both very much today.
This painting is for my son.

Cabin Treasures

Cabin Treasures - Oil on 18" x 14" Linen Panel - This still life was painted at the cabin. Treasures new and past. The red ceramic jar with lid I just pick up at the opening of deer hunting craft show from a wonderful potter Karen Olson. The iron jack rabbit, a china woman figure, a bristle bear, the back of an old linen frame with the last of autumns leaves scattered around the setting all found at the cabin. I had a great time painting this piece with thick gooey paint and no fear of creating fun brush strokes or color.
