This work is an oil painting on 140lb Arches watercolor paper. I've been having fun with different applications of the paint. I wanted to get the feel of the figure under the water.

This painting is from a photo taken of the Minnesota's Lady Slippers in the forest floor in Grand Rapids, MN. I hope I'm lucky enough to catch these beautiful orchids in bloom this summer to paint them plein air.

Nicely done,and it does look like summer, but not yet! Up here there’s still 8-10inches of snow on the ground.Can’t wait for the lovely Lady Slippers.

Two of a kind, working together day after day!
Thank you, I have been learning so much from working/experimenting with watercolors. It then transfers over to my oil paintings:)
