This was painted when I was in San Diego, Ca visiting my son. I hope to get back to paint in Ca this November. The ocean is a challenge to paint, so much movement and color. Great fun!

I painted this at the cabin off the dock on Little Sugar Lake in Grand Rapids, MN. It was a hot day and a storm was coming in from the west. It is just breathtaking on the lake..... changing minute by minute.

I remember my Mom calling this a bud or (blood) vase. I was cutting down my roses yesterday and I accidentally cut a good rose and bud. I put it in my mom's silver vase and there was a painting.
